Unhappy No Silverado SS at NYC?????

I thought the 385HP 2005 Silverado SS('s) was going to be at the NYC autoshow. What happen to the S/C Silverado that was rumored too?

according to 'Josh' an admin at cheers and gears "The 385hp, RWD, regular cab, 6 speed, Silverado SS will be announced in 2-3 months and will be an '06 MY"

Guess we'll be in suspense for a bit longer. Was the production trailblazer SS at the NYC show? I heard it was going to, but have heard nothing else. I'm curious what it looks like as well as its powerplant.

I think Scott stopped by and told us exactly what would be at New York.

Unless you don't trust a guy who sits at bars drinking just iced teas (not even the Long Island kind), there's no reason to disbelieve him.

I think you were the one who started that rumor Guy after I was asking questions.

There will be a 385 HP Silverado...its a matter of when at this point.

Yep, I passed along that there was going to be a Silverado regular cab SS, so that much is true. I recall I mentioned as a likelihood at New York passing along info from a trusted person at C&G a couple of months before the New York show. Scott came by the week before, and told us what would be at New York, so that pretty much settled the issue.

Scott can share some great stories about his auto show circuit adventures, which includes last minute cancellations, last minute additions. No wonder he smokes as much as he does.

The Silverado didn't make the scene, but I did mention that Buick was going to have a coupe this auto season back in September, and also pointed out in advance that Buick would probally replace LeSabre and Park Avenue with a single Zeta model.

So, sure, I'll take that hit on the truck not being at New York.

What about the Supercharged Silverado that was talked about on here a while back? Is that still on for this auto season?

Traction problems. Lots of it. Some of the mag times have even be slower than the L's. Looks like they can't get it to hook. Understandable since the Viper's v10 is monstrous, and putting it in a truck with little weight over the rear wheels probably wasn't the smartest thing.

A 400-420hp SS with a regular cab, AWD, available 6spd, and a 35,000 dollar sticker would be perfect.

sounds good to me...and yea what I expect..traction probs..so a reg cab though late to market will get its due
and a supercharged version should help it..
