No news day poll: Chevy Astra or Chevy Malibu

Here are 2 cars built on the same chassis, the Chevrolet Astra sold in the south (the real real south) and the Malibu sold here.

Ugh.

I see those cars and think why is it that the Mazda 6's designers created such a good looking car while GM tries to sell us stuff that looks like that

I like the Malibu's rear end more than the Astra.

Not crazy about either front clip, really... both are "OK".

The interiors... probably a slight nod to the Astra...

Actually, the Astra is much smaller than the Malibu.

The car that shares it's architecture with the Malibu, is the Vectra:

Ditto Z284ever.

I thought I read in Autoweek least week the Astra was on the Cobalt's chassis and the same size?

Out of those pics I think I like the Malibu better. I think it's a little more distinctive, although neither really looks enthusiast oriented. I think the Malibu could use some aluminum trim on the center stack and/or wheel to break up the 'sea of grey' look.

Now the Vetra looked like a very attractive car....

My sister has the silver 4-door Astra hatch (Holden) and I actually liked it. Chev Astra and Holden Astra are on the same platform, right????
