A little bit of trivia here:

The GM property these GM electric vehicles are being stored at is the old Van Nuys (northern Los Angeles) plant that once was home to the 3rd generation F-body.

I used to pass by it often going to & from a shortlived girlfriend's house way back then.

I don't think that means that there won't be any electric powered GM cars in the near future (I believe GM is still planning on having a production electric car by 2010) it just won't be battery powered like the current cars.

The new electric cars will run on hydrogen and won't be recharged like the current cars are.

Maybe not, but I'll bet the next "Camaro" does have displacement-on-demand.
