No 2004 STS
Year to date production, 2003:
CTS: 22,861
Deville: 28,404
LS: 15,858
TL: 20,695
Town Car: 18,899
I wouldn't call CTS a limited production car. For it's segment, it's most certainly a success.

When I first saw the CTS, I was like the car mags...what the HELL did Cadillac just do? A year later? Now that I'm used to it, I love it. But it was weird at first, I admit. But the XLR, CTS, Escalade...wow, Caddy sells cars I want, but Chevy doesn't? Go figure...

I think arts and sciences is a good design theme, but the current execution just plain sux.
Now the Cien or Sixteen on the otherhand ... that's what a Cadillac should look like.

I'm not aware of anyone within the industry that wouldn't know that the STS wasn't going to launch in '04.
Now, I just want to know what guionM thinks is going to be built at the Hamtramck plant

Popular Hot Rodding later next month will have a bigger clue. I can't say more than that till it comes out, for obvious reasons.
I will say I'm really surprised Motor Trend, Road & Track, or Car & Driver hasn't pieced it all together yet!

I know the Hamtramck plant produces the Seville, DeVille, LeSabre, Bonneville, and did the Eldorado. So what's the big puzzle to what will be made after the Eldo is gone? Is this the spot for the new rear drive mid-sizers?

All those cars are scheduled to end production at the same time, aren't they?

By mid size I meant GP, Impala, etc. I would imagine that they would stay in Canada. If you mean that the LeSabre is going RWD, I believe you are mistaken. Nothing on that platform has been determined yet according to my sources. And other than the Seville name going away, none of those products I mentioned are ending production, name wise. But I think that's what you meant. As it goes for Park Ave and DeVille, I've heard that GM is considering RWD for this. But what's the big deal with that? A bigger RWD coupe?
