Nice 40th anniversery Camaro Concept
Re: Nice 40th anniversery Camaro Concept
I've been a long time fan/reader of this forum and felt compelled to post.
That Camaro concept is exactly the direction I wish and hope that the Camaro goes in future generations. As a somewhat younger guy (25), I am less interested in the bold heritage design of the new Mustang and apparently new Camaro as I am in taking some of those design cues and making something thoroughly modern. For instance, you can tell from the fender creases and quarter panel that the shape is 1st gen inspired. But I don't think anyone would say that the concept is the dreaded "retro." The front lower fascia is a bit too concept car futuristic, but I feel this is a better evolution of design than the other 5th gen renditions I've seen that have been described as "pretty close."
This concept reminds me of the first time I saw a 4th gen and thought, "Who the hell needs a Ferrari when I can buy a car that looks like and performs like an exotic for $20K"
Just my .2c

ya, retro is gay
this is a way better rendering than the trash we've seen before
hopefully GM takes a step into the future with the 5th gen, not several steps back like Ford has
