Re: Next gen Chrysler minivan spyshot.
I haven't seen the Nitro in person yet, but a friend of mine who really wanted a Nitro went to NYIAS and saw it in person... :hurl: At least, that was his take of it.
We sell tons and tons of Libertys, and I honestly never considered them a "girly truck" until I started selling them...holy ****!!! I haven't sold one to a man yet, and we've sold 8-9 new and used in the 6 weeks I've been sales manager. I sold a new Sport model to my aunt, and drove a new one for a weekend...while the interior is in desparate need of updating (a Torrent feels like a VW compared to a Liberty), the ergonomics are pretty good and the driving feel is very comfortable. I really liked it. I have a Jeep Green M6 Renegade coming in that I could actually see myself in if I needed a car...but I don't...and even the Renegades are deemed girly
As for the Patriot, it is WAY, WAY better looking than the Compass, but its still a FWD, car-based cute-ute that will go over well with women, and be ignored by men. Here's to hoping the Liberty replacement is as "manly" as the old Cherokee (I've always had a soft spot in my heart for a 2 door, M5 Cherokee Sport), and they rename it the Cherokee.
As for my buying habits, now that it is against my career advancement to pursue a new GM purchase (those GM points will have to wait for the F5, if I get one), I do admit to eyeing a gorgeous, done-up dark grey, 5.3 Z71 '04 Sierra SLE reg cab I just took in on trade....
I might sell DCX, but every person in that dealership knows what I bleed
And it isn't Hemi orange...

I suppose I used a bad choice of words. I meant that 2002 was the last time they completely revamped the platform. I am not mistaken in thinking this, right? Toyota/Honda haven't been sitting still in the minivan segment, so Chrylser's gotta keep up, and frequent product refreshes/revamps would help.

Darth,
Its pretty minor, the refresh for '05...but it seems to be enough that the Chrysler faithful all want the '05+ style with the Stow N Go...hence why I have a ton of used '04s
