New VE spy pics
Re: New VE spy pics
Those most recent uncammo'd spy photos are taking at Holden's Lang Lang Proving Grounds (this confirmed from a friend who has driven an HSV there). In order to get those pics, someone had some SERIOUS photography equipment w/incredible zoom. And, as Guy said, combining the zoom with the white color, lots of subtle styling details are lost.
Interesting post here, contrasting the uncammo'd pics to close-ups of cammo'd cars:

Because the SS is white, you can't make out too much about it's sheetmetal. The side shot makes the car seem like it has those extreme Saturn Aura/Chrysler 300-like wheel arch stampings which would really set off the car. Instead of the relatively shapeless hood of the former V-cars, this seems to have the look of the Torana up front.
I think you're going to change your opinion of the car when you see it.
As for the long wheelbase version, all I'll say is that it's exterior seems designed almost specifically to be sold in the US.

I was lucky enough to see a camouflaged VE one late evening. While I couldn't see the smallest of details, my initial impressions were that VE is quite a large car with good proportions all round.
PS I recall the Bangle designed BMWs of only a few years ago not being well received when images were leaked, but the moment the cars (especially the 5-series) were released, they immediately dated the superceded models. What's this got to do with VE you might ask? I'm hoping it immediately dates the VZ in a similar manner.
