New Tacoma...

Saw one of those 05 Tacoma sport package trucks today...

Did toyota just trace the outline of a colorado and tack their nose on it?

I know its not, but the damn thing looks like a rebadge.

Re: New Tacoma...

Huh. It kinda does. Even the wheel well plastics look very similar. Only other difference is the jumpseat windows arent quite the same. Wierd. They are similar (well, very similar) but I dont like the Tacoma headlights anymore. They used to be a lot better looking IMO (though the optics rock on the new ones).

Watch redzed come in and say that the Colorado is a copied Tacoma

Re: New Tacoma...

Eh, I sorta see the Colorado in the Tacoma but I see a lot of differences in the two. The Tacoma is much bigger and has a much wider stance than the Colorado. The Colorado looks a bit too skinny for my tastes. What I'm most impressed by though it is the look of the TRD off road package in an extended cab. The truck's proportions look perfect while the Z71 package on the Colorado looks slightly off. The Colorado is solid, but the Tacoma seems engine wise, size wise, interior wise, and looks wise to have the one-up on the Colorado.

Quality-wise, and resale-wise as well. You're not going to lose your shirt driving off the lot in the Toyota.

Holy overanalyzation...

Not so much from the front/rear or quarters, but a dead-on side view is too similar to be dismissed. Thats all.
