I think alot of you guys that don't like this car....don't like it because it's not your idea of what a Camaro should be. Well, it's a Mustang! On the Mustang boards they are just going wild over it. I hope when we finally see some spy pics of a new Camaro, us Camaro guys love it as much as the Mustang guys love this.

If we make the assumption that this is a base car...I think it looks pretty good. Yeah, maybe the dashboard looks alittle too Mustangesque for our Camaro tastes. And maybe there are too many Mustang cues for a Camaro board to appreciate. So what.

I'll bet that there will be alot of overtime at the Mustang plant trying to meet demand for this car.

Here's how it looks with the flat black removed from the wheels.

Look through the windshield in the center shot and you can see a bit of a convertible.

The yellow one?

That's after the big initial sales rush the 1st couple of years, right?

I just got around to looking at all the pictures and even if you don't like the interior styling, you gotta admit, it reeks of quality in appearence. I like the chrome trim around the guages, and the general layout is really good. It's just that it looks like a base luxury car instead of a sporty car, and the seats are a tad plain. If this is the Mustang's base interior (which I feel this is) , then it's a gigantic leap forward. I don't think Team Mustang would go backwards on seat design. The one thing I don't like is the guage graphics.

As for the exterior, wait till you see it in person. The body lines and creases don't photograph well in white and camoflage paint. I would have made the lights in the grill a little smaller though.

Of course Ford didn't do a "leap-ahead" design like Nissan did with it's Z350 & G35 Infinity coupe, but new Mustangs have never been "leap-ahead" designs. They have always been good looking and very up to date when they're redone, while Camaro (starting with the 2nd gen) have been progressive & pushed the design envelope.

This one continues that.

Rather then Lincoln LS vs. PT Cruiser, I think a better example would be Ford T-bird vs. Cadillac CTS.

Back to the subject of this thread, I'm mixed on the new Stang. I wish it was something original, yet I think its a decent retro design. And yes, J Mays will get even more credibility for something that he really didn't design. Retro is like plagiarism.

BTW, those fog lamps look HORRIBLY out of place! They look really over sized too.

To the best of my knowledge, This is a GT. The V6 cars I was around all had single exhuast, and 16" 10 spoke wheels, Much like the 00-02 Z28 wheels. Also, the wheels that you see on it are 16"S, hence why the brakes look so big.

Are you saying that the GT will have 16" Bullitt style wheels?

I thought that the LS was better looking then, and I think the LS is better looking today.

No, I am saying that the 10 or so cars I have been around, and every picture I have seen of them has 16"s wheels on it. Note that the wheel has no "lip" to it, they are all flat. I think the production version will have 17"s. They also have some ****ty BFG tire, nothing performance, just a passenger car tire

My first reaction to the exterior is I'm not thrilled about it.. Although its what I expected from rumors what I read about comparing to the prototype.. I dunno about the hood.. For some reason, it it looks like its bulging with fat, not with muscle.. maybe my perception is just skewed cause its a Mustang.. I'll hod final judgement to when I see it in real life..

Interior looks nice, in the spartan/functional sort of way(in a positive connotation)

And it really does look like those CAD drawings of the body panels someone leaked out supposidly from the supplier a while ago!

Man that center console is aweful.

I think the new Pontiac GTO is looking better each day when compared to how the new Stang is going to look .
I don't know about that, i was very dissapointed when I saw the GTO. To me it just looks like another sedan.(with b@lls). They could have done alot better. IMHO the new mustang has a more aggresive look.
