I know that the mustang is still in camo but the car still looks really goofy to me, I can't quite pick out why.

I agree, with the cammo on it's almost got "That 70's Shape" to it...the leopard print doesn't help.

I'm sure it's just the cammo job. I wouldn't expect the real car to deviate too much from the concept.

Yea I have to agree the proportions look a little off. The nose is very broad and high, as is the tail (could be due to the spoiler). But the car is still only in alpha stage at best so I bet the next phase of development will move it more into what the concept car looked like.

The only thing I've got to say is...You can put a prom dress on a Clydsdale...But... it's still a Clydsdale. Ford can wrap junk in whatever wrapper they like. When are they ever going to impress us with a performance engine that DOESN'T need a supercharger to get out of it's own way?
I've got to thank you for the link to the Mustang message board, though....I feel alot better about my Camaro only running 12.69 @ 110 MPH now.

Needs a supercharger to get out it's own way? What frame of reference are you comming from?

Gee, being that a 2004 Corvette Z06 runs the quarter mile in 13 seconds, your "stock" 12.6 Camaro car must really be something.

I better get my boots. Things seem to be getting pretty deep here.

I will reserve final commentary until I see the car in person as well as see how they perform. I personally hate the retro look, but to each his own.

Rumor has it that Brenda Priddy snapped 150 spy shots of production ready but camouflaged Mustangs last weekend.

Can't wait to see them.

Also....

There is a report in Mustang Monthly that some outside vendors are reporting 250-275 hp at the wheels for Mustang GT.

Abit short of the LS1..but seems to be in line with the rumored 310 hp for GT.

He doesn't say his car is stock.

But seriously lets not get into a debate about the whole supercharger thing.

Interesting. I'm going to have to go get a supercharger for my car and see what kind of "way" I can get away from.

I've seen the prototype in person (NMRA race back in May). It's nice, but like others, I'll reserve judgement until it actually hits the streets.
