Branden,

With all due respect...are you KIDDING me? I owned a Grand Am GT...the interior was a pile of crap. I love the new G6 on the inside. Go sit in one before you judge You're playing with the deck of cards redzed uses unless you actually experience a car in person, you know?

Anyhoot, my take...

G6: When the whole model line is out, it will be awesome. The convertible is great. I don't care what anyone here says, that coupe looks hot...period. www.grandamgt.com members were talking about the coupe before when the pics were released, and all agreed it was far and away better than the GA coupe. Add the 3.9, the 18s and the 6 speed of the GTP, the 3v 3.9 GXP and the ability to have a base 4 banger (but WHY NO FIVE SPEED, GM?!??!!?!?!?!?), and the car is going to be a homerun. Doubters need to drive one if you haven't already. Light steering aside, I really enjoyed my drive in a GT...I can't wait for the GTP. The one main fault of the car? It needs to be called Grand Am!!!!!!!

Cobalt: On my short list for my fiance's next car. G6 coupe is on that too

HHR: For what it is, it works. But it is to PT Cruiserish...

'06 Impala and Monte SS: V8, 18's and better interior and exterior styling. If I could afford one, a black '06 MC SS would replace the GP this fall.

So what has missed the boat, in my opinion?

Grand Prix. Bad inside, bad outside, just...well...bad. The style alienated a lot of '97-'03 GP owners, and I have a tough time moving them. I much prefer the natural curves of my '01 to the blockier, angular nature of the '04+. And the 3800 needs to die NOW. Or needs 250hp. Either way, this engine at 200hp in a $28k car is a flat joke. I love mine, but its not acceptable now.

I really, REALLY hope they keep the Grand Prix name. G8? BAD....just redesign the car, please.

G6 - coupe, hardtop convertible, and GXP model as well as 240hp 3.9 should have all been available first year of production. Having a 3.5L sedan only hurt sales, etc... first year of production. First year is always crucial in that the car is trying to build a name for itself and it should get off on the right footing, which the g6 clearly didn't.

Honerable mention: Ford 500. 203-210hp 3.0 v6 as the only motor? pathetic. This car had promise. I saw one upclose and it looked like a pretty decent (actually nice) car although bland looking. Ford should have brought the 3.5L Duratec v6 to market earlier. Introducing it with old and relatively underpowered 3.0L Duratec was a mistake. Also, they should make the AWD models available with the 6spd auto. Currently, all AWD trims have CVT tranny's.

by far the Charger...I mean the guy at the L.A. auto show was talking about how they where taking risks and so forth how Dodge is so innovative and even compared this mistake to the cab forward/front drive bull **** which was supposed to be the future and a four door was like thier rebellion. Total crap build what people want to see for the people who actually know what a charger is who knew them before this fourdoor piece...build A two door with a rippin hemi!
