Lately, I have been very disappointed with GM motors -
now they charge more for manual trans. corvettes than auto trans.

You can no longer get a half ton truck with a stick shift etc.

I am losing faith in gm motors as far as performance for the masses.

Please post any info. that leads any of you toward thinking there will actually be another camaro / trans am.

thanks for all replies.
You can get a manual in the 1500.

They charge more for the Manual in the Vette because it cost them more than the 4spd auto

Actually you can't get a manual in a SS truck. Not even this years SSR.

The 6.0 liter V8 is still available with a 5 speed manual on GM's website:
http://www.gmbuypower.com/byoSelectS...7&modelId=003&

You can not get a manual on the Silverado SS.

Get the base 2500, or better yet, the 2500WT truck with the standard 6.0 V8 & 5 speed with locking rear, 4.10 gears, and you have yourself a Silverado SS beater as is for just under $25,000.

Take a portion of the $15-17,000 you just saved, invest it in handling & power upgrades, and though you probally won't go beating Lightnings & SRT-10 Rams, you'll at least end up a whole lot better off than the guy who just sprang for the Silverado SS.
