Last week I cringed when looking at pics of the new Chevy trucks. I thought they not only looked bland, but really bad and outdated considering it is an entirely new truck. GMC trucks looked ok. But yesterday I am watching TV and saw the new Avalanche and this thing is bad ***!

 

I have been saying it's my favorite 900 of all.

 

No doubt! I too really like the new Av, I'm considering trading in the Colorado now!

 

I like the Avalanche the best too, but damn that new Sierra Denali is mean looking.

 

Guess I'm the odd man out. I liked the 06 MUCH better. I personally don't care for the new look at all. To boxy, it lost it's attitude.

 

Ive always loved the concept of the AV , but hated the gaudy looks . The new is completely badass . Its really the 1st truck Ive ever actually desired . To me its perfect .

The Black ones with black leather in top trim with the 20" 5 spokes wheels are f'in hot .

 

I am with Threxx. I have been telling people that for a while now too. Most everyone I know that didn't like the Avalanche before thinks the new one looks great..

the LTZ Avalanche is one of the truck I would consider driving, other than a 2500 of course.

 

I saw one in Sunburst Orange Metallic II a few weeks ago, it looked awesome. Wouldn't mind having one like this.

 

I agree, I see them all around Fort Worth……I’d love to have a black one as my daily driver!

 

Am I the only one that thinks it looks like the truck GM designed after the 2002's, but put the design away in a closet and is releasing it 5 years later?

 

Well, visually its not a significant departure of the the GMT800's if thats what you mean.. I have a naked 2004 Av and the changes are relatively subtle.

different fascia
bumpers body colored
windshield raked more
totally new interior
differnet fenders
appears to have less front overhang maybe?
tailgate is now spring assist and central lockable (yay!)
side airbags and stuff
better crash rating thanks to new frame?
aluminum suspension up front
wider track and stuff.
fuel flex

IMO, throw in a 6 speed auto, and it'll be perfect.. They stepped up and improved the GMT800's in most of the aspects it needed. Like the C5->C6.
