Actually Honda took top honors. But the part about Toyota is true, and Ford was way improved. Even better, Consumer Reports is going to stop automatically recommending new Toyota models as soon as they hit the market. They will now wait until they have a full year of history on 'em, just like they do with everyone else.

Well I'm glad they are actually going to do some research before just blindly reccomending Toyota's. Love the fairness

Ford had three of four domestics on the list rated "most reliable," not that the company overall was rated most reliable.

Near as I can tell, the pecking order is-

1. Honda
2. Subaru
3. Toyota

I can't find "the list" though.

There sure are a crap load of Toyotas still in the "best of" in each category, despite this hit.

Not sure why Cadillac is so low. I can't say that I've ever looked at CR for any car advice, though.

There is media bias, but it isn't US vs. Imports. The financial media loves to kick a company while there down and will drool all over a what ever is on the upswing even if it is grossly over valued.

Just look at media darlings Google and Apple with there 40.0+ PE ratios. Or Sirius two years back (which was and still is losing money.)

I'm hoping for good things with the new private Chrysler LLC. We need an American company to become the automotive equivalent of Apple.
