Yep, and I hope the Big 3 stand up and take notice that it's OK to put a killer oil-burner under the hood of something other than a HD truck.

Speaking of engines - I think Ford is insane for not doing SOMETHING with the V10 developed for the Daisy/Cobra car.
Wasn't that the engine that was given priority over the Hurricane a while back?

I agree entirely.

On the other hand, that Audi is a six figure price tag crossover...

I can't say it got priority over the Hurricane, but the V10 definitely got priority from the execs for completion. It was integral to the Daisy/Cobra project, and was supposed to come out in a production version of the Cobra to replace the GT as a corporate flagship. That V10 was an awesome engine.

2 were made - one ended up in the Cobra concept and the other went into a mule for testing. There was a vid on this forum about the Mustang test mule some time ago - it was a clip from the show "Rides".

It was breaking driveshafts like toothpicks, and they went through several clutches as well... but NO engine failures or problems!
I think Ford needs to drop that into a future exotic Mustang and/or a corporate flagship vehicle just to show they can be players in the V10 game.
Who knows, they may HAVE to use it to battle the next gen Viper if they are going to stay in the big leagues.
