Thumbs up My nomination for the most sinister looking production sedan for 2004

Cadillac's CTS Sports Package. It looks even meaner than the CTSv:

The CTSv, for comparison:

It's amazing what a rear spoiler, twin dual pipes, and black paint can do to otherwise identical cars. Even the grille on the SP looks more agressive.

CTS is going to go down as one of those very significant cars...

Much like what the Intrepid did for Dodge... except on a higher 'class' scale.

I guess i'm still the minority when it comes to the CTS's styling. I thought larger wheels would make me like it better, but it really hasn't. I also thought i'd warm up to it by now, but that hasn't happened yet.

Sinister looking indeed.

Thumbs down

Franky - that still looks like a huge pile of a$$. For me, the arts & sciences thing is plain fugly no matter how much you gussie it up with spoliers and air-dams.

Performance is another matter though - at least the CTSv model has that in spades, it seems.

Wow... that's hot!

I'd black the front lights out, throw on an exhaust cutout and then scare little kids and women with it.

Hrumph... I might just need one of those.

Much better....I was never ecstatic on the looks, but I admire the engineering. The rear bumper makes all the differnece in the back and the new grill and front bumper...much better!!

Still looks like a box that got folded the wrong way. Is it still going to have that POS 215hp V6 for $40K?

Base CTS has 235 I believe. The sport has 300HP 3.6L VVT V6.

So, in short...NO.
