Kris, thats CRAZY, you were actualy published in a magazine with your model? WOW! I'm jealous!!

Do you have a job modeling cars? Seems like after all that fame, you'd have no problem getting a job! I want to model cars for a living, but it just doesn't seem to be working out

Hey, glad you like my work! I dig your skills, but it seems as though you lean towards low-poly models. I do high poly unless I plan on animating. Nice choice on the Chevelle. I own a '71 and also modeled one. I'll link up some pics to show you.

The feature in PHR has opened a lot of doors for me. I did pre-viz and designed a paint scheme for a truck that will be at SEMA, I am helping a company develop a limited production street car and modeling it. I am also working on a few other projects, but I can't really tell anyone about them.

Shoot me an e-mail anytime at kris.horton2@verizon.net

It's a pretty nice design, but geez guys! Seems you'll jump on anything as a Camaro!
My initial thoughts exactly.

I think people are more impressed with the software than the design.

Sorry to put it blunty, but its not very original and I don't particularly like it.

I really liked the movie. I could never imagine designing stuff like that. Good job.

You know what I'd like to see?

Instead of everyone basing a 5th gen on a '69 Camaro....how about we use this as a starting point and see what we come up with?:

How about something original instead?

Personally I'd rather have a 2-door version of the SS concept... not that I'm hoping that's what the final 5th gen looks like mind you.

Because that's what everyone thought I based it off of in the first place! Everybody thought my design was a one-off on the 360 Modena...nice thought though...

That video was just incredible, but I had to LOL at the HP and TQ numbers. I'm not 1 for retro but with a few changes/other cues/more "modern" looks, that car could be a winner and I like it alot better than "The Concept."

nah, all of my stuff is quite high poly. the works in progress models are just a shell, but most everything else has full interior, engine, suspension, and weight well over 600,000 polygons. the sprint car in my gallery is about 1.5 million polygons I modeled everything, even the welds that hold the tube cage, and duct tape to hold down the gas lines

my poor computer can't take stuff like that, so I don't usualy go quite that detailed. Usualy just a shell for a body, mild interior, fairly low detail suspension, and an engine. (I have only modeled 2 engines, I just swap it from car to car)

I'll email ya later and we can chat if ya want

as for the concept camaro, it was for a contest (MotorTrend), The numbers are quite high, but I figured 20 years or so in the future, those numbers could be pretty realistic. Idonno, it's already submitted, can't take it back now

I can appreciate the hard work, but it seems like all the 'concepts' are pretty much the same anymore...

Kris, I think that you are a very talented designer. But if I see one more 1st gen based, retro 5th gen Camaro concept......I think I'm going to blow my brains out.

I know you're probably very busy....but I'd really like to see a new concept that is perhaps more Modena and less '69 Camaro. Ferrari has already developed a very Chevy looking rear fascia for you.

I hope that you give it a shot....you're just the guy who could pull it off.
