Yep guesswho, I know about them. About 2 summers ago, Ford had some current Mustangs running around Detroit (unless I'm mistaken, a couple of people here also saw them) with chrome paddle shifters Ford was developing. There was also a components guy over on the blueovalnews boards for awhile that mentioned it a couple of times.
I don't remember if it was going to be an option, or if it was going on some of the sport models (Cobra? Mach1?), but it was certainly going to be on the next Mustang. Mustang was also planned to have a host of other electronic goodies that was aimed to bring Mustang slightly upmarket.
Since we're on the subject, there will be a mid-line Mustang that will fall between the base & the GT, much the way the Camaro LT and Berlinetta fell between base & Z28 Camaros. That's right! FIVE MUSTANG MODELS!
Base, (insert model designation here), GT, Mach, and Cobra!
As I said awhile back, Ford is going all out with the new Mustang. You would think that Chevrolet would have a concept car planned for next year's Auto show circuit that will steal a bit of thunder from the 2004 1/2 Mustang introduction at next years Detroit show, wouldn't you???

Anything can change in a year, but that's what they're calling it at the moment.
TRIVIA NOTE: The 1994 SN95 Mustang was also due out in April (exactly 30 years), and at least one plan had it pegged as a 1994 1/2. But Mustang was done ahead of schedule, and was introduced Christmas 1993 as a 1994 Model.

the '95 5.0 GTS was a one year only deal,it was basically a GT without the fog lights and spoiler(good)and without the GT sports seats(bad).i think you could get the standard GT equipment(power seats, etc.)as options.i don't know how many they made but it couldn't have been more than 3 or 4000 of them,if that many.i don't know the cost either, maybe 17-18K new??does anyone know?i also believe they still had GT badges, not sure though.they're pretty cool looking without the always stupid looking spoiler.
