That's gonna cause a few issues with the fender badges that read:
"Z06
505 HP"
Re: MT Z06 Quarter Mile Time...
I can see it now........
Dear Valued GM customer,
We regret to inform you that there is a recall on all new 2006 Corvette ZO6's. It seems the fender badges that are on the side of the car that represents the model along with its "advertised" horsepower are incorrect. In fact the motor does not make 505 horsepower. We will be replacing these faulty incorrect badges with more accurate ones that read 550hp. Please excuse our mistake and thank you for becoming a member of the GM family.
If I had one and they did that, I think I might frame that letter.

The tooling for the badges could be replaced in 4 weeks with ease... faster if they wanted. I've seen EDM sunk injection molds done and shooting parts in a week as long as they are relatively simple, and this one looks like cake to me - no sliders.

. hopefullly there will be a few this year at the GMHTP event. i'd love to see the Z06 eat up the road course at E-town

I'll have to check the schedule for the GMHTP event, but I'm sure it'll be pretty good. It is GM........the best cars on the planet!
Re: MT Z06 Quarter Mile Time...
i've seen cars go plenty faster than 55 on that track. maybe it was just lexus? on the import days(my friends take me and i only go if they pay for me to get in) those kids get way WAY past 55.
