Motor Trend COTY

They named theTesla Model S as car of the year. Made quite a splash on the media.

Darn, I thought the ATS might get it

Edit: After looking through it, the Tesla Model S is definitely a worthy winner. It's a great car.

I love how Motortrend doesn't shy away from making controversial decisions like this. I would wonder if they did this just to spite Rush Limbaugh and the right wing wacko's (not calling all right wingers wacko's, just a segment of them); however, that car deserved to win on its own merits. What Tesla is doing with EV's right now is incredible and we might all thank them for paving the way to ultimately not having to spend money on fuel ever again in a decade or two.

They made a good choice. It is a shame for the ATS that they had to come out in the same year as this car. ATS could/should have beat last years COTY winnner.

Other than a higher electrical bill, and increased fuel consumption at the production facility. As you said in the other thread, no energy is free. What the Delta's will be between that and current gasoline usage is yet to be determined. There are not 100 million cars loading the power grid currently.
