Chevrolet Announces Pricing for the 2014 Impala

The 2014 Impala will be offered in LS, LT and LTZ trim levels.

The 3.6L, 305-horsepower-engine will come to market first, with a starting price of $30,760 for the LT and $36,580 for the LTZ, including destination charges.

The 2.5L engine is priced as follows: $27,535 for the LS; $29,785 for the LT; $34,555 for the LTZ.

Pricing for the 2.4L engine with eAssist will be announced later.
Looks like they are taking an opposite approach on the release of trim levels compared to the release of the Malibu. Looks like the V6 is a $2025 premium on the LTZ model. I would have thought the 3.6 would have been standard on the LTZ

I wonder what goodies the LTZ has to command a $5,820 price premium.

They did say the Impala would move upscale and the Malibu would take over as the primary "large" sedan for fleets and rental cars. It only makes sense the price would jump as well.

I'm curious to see what comes standard on the LS with the 2.5L Ecotec. There may be an Impala in my future.

It is more expensive than I thought it would be about $1000 more than a V6 Taurus.
