They designed it to be either side.

The parking brake handle is on the correct (left) side. You can see the button well on the larger interior pic in Auto Week's article.

So according to that there wont be a manual V6? That would kinda suck.

Yeah 362 hp is a healthy amount to have, and I am sure the 6-speed auto will amplify those horses, vs. the old 4-speed auto that was in the GTO. The report was perdicting mid 14s, surely with 6 gears auto or manual this thing should be able to get in the 13s easy. What kind of rear axle ratio did they give the G8?

On the other hand 362 hp is a let down because the out going GTO had 400hp, and even if 362 is plenty there is a special ring to saying this baby has 4-0-0-H.P. under the hood.

An engine tune maybe the only difference between the L98 and the LS2.

 

Looks like my next car....not sure the about the positive fuss over the logo....looks like someone took a bite out the current logo?
