More 2004 Grand Prix info... including pricing.

http://www.motortrend.com/features/n...news030128_gp/

Looks like the new GP will pretty much hold the pricing where the current model leaves off....

Production starts in February....

I also noticed that a version of StabiliTrak is being offered on the Grand Prix...

I think this is a huge safety feature... one that often gets overlooked on cars like CTS...

I hope they promote it. Most people probably don't even know what it does.

I was disappointed with this car's cheap plastic dash when I sat in it at NAIAS, especially the center portion around the stereo/ac controls. Don't know if it speaks well for a car that approaches $27-28k fully loaded, where you are approaching a CTS and surely a big jump in quality of materials.

The pricing is great news. Personally I like the car, except the way the vents look on the interior Other than that, this is a great car altogether for only 28K fully loaded. I would probably prefer it over an optionless CTS.

Compared to the previous GPs, it's still a pretty good jump in quality. Nothing like the GTO, but still pretty good.

My only complaint about the new GP is it's exterior looks unfinished. The previous GP has lines that could be called sexy. The new one (especially in the front) just seems undone. Not ugly, just not done.

I think it looks good, THe Black one looks bad ***, go to GMI for a pic it in black. I HATE the rims, just put on some nice 5 spokes. Pricing looks good, Cheaper than the '03 Grand Prixs.

new 2004 base prices:
GT = $21,760
GTP = $25,860

old 2003 base prices
SE = $22,395
GT = $24,245
GTP = $27,045

THe 2004 seems to have more standard features too.

Those base prices sound really good to me. Looks like a hot seller. It'll be interesting to see how this car and the Grand Am compare and contrast each other.. then again they've always been adjacent to each other in market / price.

Same here. There seems to be no relationship between cars and wheels lately at GM. Anyone see the Mercury Messenger wheels or the GT40 wheels? At least those are unique. Most of GM's designs look the same on a minivan or a car. Boring and nauseating.. just begging to be swapped for aftermarket wheels. Also I've always been a strong advocate for body-colored wheels or wheels colored something OTHER than silver. Look at the WRX STi for example. Sweet lookin car in blue/gold. Or.. closer to home; look at the 30th anniv T/A or 35th CE.
