Modern day classics and the future of car repair (auto electronics, idrive & etc)
Re: Modern day classics and the future of car repair (auto electronics, idrive & etc)
I remember reading a forum about the Infiniti G35 Coupe and how alot of guys were pissed that they couldnt upgrade the stereo since its all built on the same cirucit board as all the other dash compontents.
What we will most likely see is more car companies offering alot of factory options and choices but those options and choices will be so integrated into the car's design and electrical system that we will most likely see fewer and fewer after market car stereos etc.
I wouldnt be surprised if new cars become so overly controlled by computers is that it will give "error" messages if you put on larger wheels and tires or if you lowered the car and warn you that you must "bring to dealer ASAP" so they can hook it up on their propreitary computer diagnostic system or risk voiding your warranty.
