A warning is all well and good, but in the end, what legal options do manufacturers outside of China really have? The Chinese government will not step in.

There are copies of the stories elsewhere, I think Mercedes even has a press release. Essentially there is a copy of the X5 called the Ceo, and there is a copy of the Smart car 2 seater.

Did anyone else notice this 'warning' is just for cars imported to European countries? It doesn't mention anything about the mainland China market.

^I've read a story of Gucci making "knock-offs" to sell for cheap that look 99% liek their name brand stuff, just to corner the illegal market.

It's porbably fake, but damn interesting. And no I don't have a link for your wife,
