The drop top was so close to production, it makes me want to cry just thinking about it.



I don't know what it's going to be called in the end (a maker can change names or model designation litterally as the 1st model is going down the assembly line), and I haven't gotten a clear word as to if it's going to be a 2 or 4 door (my money's on both), but the program does exist, and you're right about it being based on a Lancer.

 

Me too. That's totally what the Sebring convertible should have grown up to be.

It's mechanically and crash-test-wise identical to a Magnum. There's no reason not to sell it here except that they don't wanna.

I KNOW they're building some 300Ts in Brampton, or at least that they have, because someone who works there told me he's seen 'em.

 

Then that would support Mugion's statement that it's being considered for sale in NA.
