Mach I's are now rolling off the line... (w/ pic)
Well, the Cobra may be having indigestion and gas problems due to it's iron lung right now, but I just read a couple articles about the NA modular wonder coming to life.
An article on Mustang Weekly shows the Mach I actually coming off the line. These are pre-production for line testing and will likely go to journalistic duties, but the actual production begins November 11th according to same source.
Maybe the NA car will come off without any glitches... I hope so!

hope there are no glitches they built the same car in 96.

I really like the Mach 1. I might even get one if they decide to make it a drop-top.

Hmmm, I'll have to see the car in person but god I have always thought the front end on the current mustang is so ugly.

However, don't get too excited yet. According to David Wagner from the Mach 1 Registry, these early cars are for pre-production testing and magazine press use only.
Big Daddy - I happen to agree with the other poster about the Mustang front end. In fact, this is the first time I have seen the Mach I hood from the front, and I frankly do not like it. It's way to "overinflated"... much more so even than my T/A. And I cannot warm up to the Mach I's wheels... so flat they seem to belong on a FWD Focus. The styling of LS1 Camaros and Firebirds are head and shoulders above the current Mustang herd in my book....
I think the shaker scoop is cool (until you open the hood and see the goofy black-snake inlet tunnel). But it's the puffed-up-on-steroids curvature of the hood itself that looks goofy to me. Don't ask me though... I also think the fake scoop on the GT's hood is lame, but the GT is a success for Ford. Just one person's opinion.
Actually the Cobras production halt was planned and is NORMAL. BON took things out of prespective and made it seem like it was due to a quality issue or problem with the new Cobras when it wasn't.
Quote by Scott on the current stoppage:
There are 3 seperate runs of Cobras with a one month or so break between production to do production line maintainence and other issues. The break was planned before it went in production.
