Remember the 323 that came out (with a new 2.5L six); they thought 325 would be too close to 328 (which had received an enlarged 2.5 --> 2.8L a year or two prior).
Then it was the 740 (that eventually went from 4.0 to a 4.4, 4398cc V8 but remained a 740 for a while) which is now called the 745. Same with the 545...
So maybe a 735 could get a 3.8L V16!
