Only in the U.S. and maybe Canada. Everywhere else, the 3 comes with a four as the standard engine.

Note that with CO2 emission limits in the CA-emission states and potential oil price increases, as well as possible hybrid powertrains, I would not assume that there will never be another 4 cyl in a U.S. 3-series. Remember that GM has to think ahead in its vehicle designs. Even if it did stay 6-cyl only in the U.S., they could use a four in the rest of the world.
