LS9/LS8/LSA..are they compatible with CAFE?
Define compatible? These engines are so low volume I don't think it will make a big difference. GM has already said that the LS9 will have a gas guzzler tax. It wouldn't surprise me if the LSA does, too. That means less than 22 mpg (epa) combined city/hwy. The LS8 might do better (it's the non-supercharged LS7 replacement, right?).
Nonetheless, you're only talking about offsetting 2000 ZR1s and probably not a whole lot more CTS-Vs.

but I agree...low volume = negligable for CAFE (especially since it's not 2022 or whatever, yet.) I almost feel as though these powerplants are just sending the LS-series out with a bang...
Of any engines in the GM lineup, I think these will be the least affected by CAFE.
Er... the ZR1 is supposed to sell 1500 units/year, with the CTS-V maybe adding another 2500. I guess the Z/28 could add 5,000/year to that number. Total, I think we're talking less than 10K supercharged GenIVs per year.

New CAFE requirements are 35mpg for 2020, but higher mileage than todays requirements start getting phased in for 2011 and go up every year until it reaches 35mpg for 2020. These motors will be gone by then. Enjoy them while you can for the next 6 to 8 years.
