LeSabre replacement gets V8.
Re: LeSabre replacement gets V8.
Pfffft. Nice of AutoWeek to be pretty late to the show. I've been reporting this for weeks that its going into Lucern. Others @ C&G have been saying for MONTHS that Buick is getting the Northstar, but just werent sure which program it would go with.
They never mention the Northstar by name either.

Erm...
The mid-90's Roadmasher was boxy??? I thought the whole bitch with those cars was that they looked like bars of soap.
Footnote:
I love the Roadmasher. Huge car, LT1, floaty suspension, drive it with your pinky, take a nap in the trunk, gigantic fuel tank, cushy seats. All around great American car.
I'll take mine in white with the grey 1/4 vinyl top.
Would take a Fleetwood first if I find the right one though.

Re: LeSabre replacement gets V8.
One name mentioned by dealers is Lucerne.
"Lucerne" is a well known line of dairy products in our Safeway grocery stores. I'm sure that's the image Buick wants for a near lux sedan.
Re: LeSabre replacement gets V8.
Buick needs a rear wheel drive car with a powerful V8 (Roadmaster or Riviera sound good to me
) Not them FWD cars they've been offering...even though I love the current LeSabre the way it looks and rides
