That looks 300+Magnum=Charger. The slope of the rear window is different, but the rest looks the same.

Well, based on those admittedly small spy shots, it looks like the C&D rendering is pretty close.

Too bad for Dodge.

At this point, I think DCX could build a car that is the bastard child of a one night stand between a Honda Element and an AMC gremlin, put the loosely-named 'hemi' in it, and sell a zillion of the ugly fokkers.

I hope I'm wrong. Perhaps there is a limit to the uglyness people will tolerate (it is early to tell with the Magnum; the slightly less ugly 300 is pretty hot so far though). The press usually only tolerates so much (see: Aztek) unless it is made by Honda or Toyota, it seems.

Bears no resemblence to what I would consider a modern day Charger. The 300's fingerprints are all over it, so I'm scratching my head as to why Dodge is even bothering. If that's the real deal and it doesn't look more distinguishing up close, let's hope their coupe comes out a lot better.

 

Ditto to that. Looks like a 300 with a slightly different body and a dodge front end. Powertrain is nice but def. not what I would consider a modern day Dodge Charger. Hopefully it looks better in person but I kinda damned it from the get go when news was out that it was a 4 door. Hopefully the coupe comes out good.

If the car is ugly, do people actually care if it has a good powertrain?

I wouldn't pay $10,000 for that thing even if it had a 7.0 liter V-8 pushing 600 horsepower in it. Ugly's ugly, some people these days seem to forget that. Just look at all those fools who bought Pontiac Azteks or whatever those ugly things were.

The 300 seems to make people say so. Although there are examples on the contrary.

 

Well, people say the GTO is "ugly" and look where that has gotten it sales wise?
I think part of teh 300's attractoin is that it looks a lot more expensive then it really is.
