I thought they said it was going to look like a coupe but be 4 doors? Looks like they failed miserably at that. Throw in an M6 and that could be a fun car to drive tho.

 

It doesn't look too bad to me (I like the Magnum and 300), but it literally just looks like a Magnum Sedan. If that's all it is, the why not just call it that?

 

Well that's a let down more than the GTO. Hopefully the 2 door will be a whole different thing, but the Charger name has no place on that car.

 

Don't worry, a lot are saying that those pictures are of the Magnum sedan(Intrepid replacement) not the Charger.

 

Magnum sedan=Charger.

 

There is one big problem with that. The NHRA teams are being told that the Charger will be used in place of the Stratus. Thats fine, but NHRA rules MANDATE that you have to use a coupe body. It has already been rumored, from a very reliable source, that the rear doors will be "fire escape" doors on the Charger. Do you really think you would call those rear doors on the C&D "Charger", which people are saying that is what that car is, fire escape doors?

 

I don't understand, was that sarcasm? I was under the impression the GTO was doing awful. Selling like 4000 in the first year rather than a projected 30,000. And that they lowered the price from $35,000 to $27,000. I hope it was sarcasm. But it isn't ugly, just more boring than listening to Frank Sinatra.

 

I hope its the magnum sedan..or just someones design idea..

They can't sell 30,000 when their only going to build 18,000.

 

It was...I guess? I never said that the GTO is selling well? I said...."look where that has gotten them." Didnt refer to any sales numbers, and yes the GTO is selling below GM's expectations.

All I can say I will be extremely disappointed if that is the Charger. I mean for crying out loud, that's not even remotely "sporty" or "muscular", it looks like ***. I'd much rather have a GTO... The C&D sketch looked better to me, it at least looked aggressive somewhat, although still not my idea of the Charger...

 

Boooorriiing!! Dodge you suck! Thanks for ruining a great nameplate... that thing makes the current GTO look positively swoopy by comparison (I actually quite like the current GTO BTW).

 

You have a Nassau Blue Corvette and can say you like a GTO?? Come on... that's like a Lamborghini owner saying he likes a Ford Taurus.

Cars just keep getting uglier and uglier, my area is being overrun with Cadillac CTSes, I saw at least 5 of them today while driving to and from school--not cool at all. All these BMWs and Cadillacs and other box cars sure make my car look cool by comparison though.
