Just a thought about the C6

I got my Motor Trend today and I was looking at the artist rendering of the possible C6 on the cover. I started looking at the headlights and they totally reminded me of the XLR's. They weren’t drawn exactly the same but pretty close. Actually a lot of the lines on the C6 rendering followed the XLR somewhat.

But anyway, Since we pretty much know pop ups are gone on the C6 and its going to share parts with the XLR, what do guys think about it sharing headlights with the XLR? I'm starting to think the C6 is going to be a more angular design anyway so this might not be too bad.

What do u guys think? Should the C6 have its own original headlights or is it ok to share with the XLR?

I like the way the XLR looks so I voted for this style headlight sharing.

it should have it's own because if it does't it will lose it's "specialness"

Exclamation

You think the C6's light's resemble the XLR's?

Well... they both have clear lenses, and they both shine light.

But I don't think that's enough to make them look similar..... or set up yet another poll over.

LOL, thanks bud!
I didn't say they looked exactly the same. I said they reminded me of each other because they are styled the same. In the vette drawing they are more set into the body and have more of a horizontal angular shape to the XLR’s more upright angular look.

But my question still stands Would you mind if they shared or should the vette have its own.

Here are the pics I’m comparing.

I love the way the XLR looks, but I hope that Corvette shares no visable parts with it... that's not what Corvette is...

And I'm holding out hope that the whole no-pop-up thing is just GM propeganda...

The Corvette is it's own entity. I don't really consider it a Chevrolet. Sharing any styling cues with the XLR would just be wrong.
