Jeep Patriot replacing the Liberty?
My sister has a Liberty. It's pretty cramped (probably why you don't see many guys driving them). It's got decent power but my sister says her gas mileage is abysmal. Overall I agree with Guy, anything smaller or less capable should not be a Jeep.
Which is why I think the Compass is the biggest Jeep joke ever.

The Compass makes me mad, because its simply stupid looking...but the Patriot, as the "Trail Rated" version, is an interesting spiritual successor to the original '84-'01 Cherokee. Same size, same unibody construction, similar in style, and yes, it can even go off road. The major loss is not having the good ol' inline 6, and the huge aftermarket for it. Will it ever be the legend the original was? Hell no...but the original pretty much WAS the original, and was the best in its time. The Patriot is another crossover in a crowded market that can go off road...
With that said, I think it will do very, very, very well...I'm getting a ton of interest in them already. The Compass can go F itself for all I care...I get men AND women looking at the Patriot. The Compass appeals solely to women, and its appeal will fade as more people see the Patriot. Oh yeah, its ugly too
