Now I must commend you, on what I'm sure must have taken some time, however that is really, really strange looking. I wouldn't buy it.

 

Ferrari 612, 575m, and Astons. Thoes should be the main draws for the next Camaro.

That sounds good, except that the 575m, which by the way is one of my fav. Ferrari's, borrowed heavily from 4thgen Camaro SS's. Get a pic of them side by side, same lines, the scoop. IMHO there's a huge resemlance there! Problem is PPl will except the ol' drop in/climb out deal in a Ferrari but not in a Camaro.

 

Well, thats up to chassis and ergonomic design, but perhaps Camaro could bank off the "mini-Ferrari" look like the 300 banks off the "mini-Bentley" look? Add that to the legions of Camaro fans that have waited for years...could be a big hit.

 

True, it could work! I just would rather see it look more like a Camaro. I still think the 575m did some serious borrowing design wise from the 4th gens. What was the first year for that design? I think it was the 550m, though I don't know if it was out before the 98 face lift! BTW, Kris Hortons design I also thought had a touch of 360 Modena in the sides, anyone see this? Or am I just Wacked out!

As for it looking like a Camaro, Camaro has always looked like a Ferrari. Thats where the 2nd gens took there cues from, and a third gen gives off a quazi Ferriari look.
Even, as you say, the 98+ SS's look like the 575m, or vise versa.
When I first saw the 612, a 2+2 front engine RWD sports car, I saw a Camaro. It looks almost early 2nd genish. It would be retro without going retro.

Maybe its their way of giving each other the nod, as if to say we got our eye on you! I believe it was the Ferrari GTO that the 2nd gens borrowed heavily from. As to being a little Wacked out! Aren't we all to some degree, some a little more than others obviously? That's my story and I'm stickin' to it! Anyway I didn't like that picture.

 

I don't know why you guys all thought this was a 5th gen chop, because it really isn't. It is just something I shared because I thought it looked badass. If I ever run into a lot of money, I might buy a Jaguar XK8 or XKR and do this custom job since I love it so much. But it really isn't my idea for a 5th gen.

By the way, "photo chop" is just a term used around car message boards to describe photos that have been edited. You can't get Adobe Photoshop for free anywhere, unless you count illegally. I used Jasc Paint Shop Pro (even though I have Photoshop too) because it is easier and originally, cost waaaaaay less than Photoshop. Unless you are going to be a graphic designer (which I basically am right now... even though I'm not the best, which I'm sure many of you will agree) you shouldn't waste your time or money on Photoshop. Paint Shop Pro is so much better and much more well-rounded for your money and the time you spend learning it.

 

Yea, that's a good idea, I'll try. I'll never make anything that great out of it though, the '05 GTO looks so much better than the '04 you'll be surprised if you haven't seen one in person yet. The rear end with that dual exhaust and huge GTO lettering looks SWEET. What did you have in mind for me editing the GTO? I'd like to switch the grill of it with that of the Holden Monaro for sure...

 

Why would anyone want to mess up two cars to make one mutant? Jaguar fans would be pissed so would camaro people.
