Isuzu Ascender > Trailblazer & Envoy

At least when it comes to the warranty. 3 vehicles that are basically the same, but for some reason the Isuzu gets more than twice the warranty.

http://www.isuzu04.com/images/As/as7...re_chart_2.gif

Isuzu = 7 years / 75k miles
Chevy/GMC= 3 years / 36k miles

What's up with that?

And when is Isuzu gonna get a version of the Colorado?

Isuzu needs the marketing gimic to convince people to buy their products.

Ya, I mentioned this like a year or so ago.

It's a total joke that Isuzu can offer a better warranty on a product the get from GM, than GM can themselves...

Warranty = Isuzu Ascender > Trailblazer & Envoy

Resale = Isuzu Ascender < Trailblazer & Envoy

They have one, but it isn't sold in the USA. Isuzu will be out of business in the US soon. I live in an area with about 1 million people and NO Isuzu dealers anymore.

That's a good thing for me. By the time I can afford one, the used ones will be priced lower and still under warranty

yah, I can't even think off the top of my head where our isuzu dealer is. Maybe we don't have one any more. My mother-in-law has a '98 trooper she bought new and i actually like the vehicle. The funny thing is didn't honda steal the trooper for their Acura SUV for 2-3 model years?

One friend of mine was considering the Ascender, but in the end decided to get a Yukon.

Other family friends just traded their MPV for a long Ascender a couple of months ago and they seem to like it a lot. As we all know by now: fully loaded Trailblazer/Envoy XL equivalent for a lot less $$$.

Yeah, but it'll be hard to find one, though.

On GM vehicles I'd calculate the stating price for depreciation at invoice -rebate. Fisrt year is alwyas the worse, GM trucks hold there value very well in the teens. It sucks trying to find a good used GM 4x4 truck for under $8K when compared to cars under $8K
