From a business stand point I think it would have been better to put out a Charger Sedan/Coupe first, then the Magnum Wagon a year or so later. Having the Stratus as the Biggest Dodge Sedan now is a bad move. No way the Magnum will sell as many car as the Intrepid did no matter how good it is.

This is DaimlerChrysler's way of attempting to force potential RWD sedan buyers to spring for the 300 instead of a cheaper Magnum sedan. Logic being that the "gotta have it" folks who traditionally are the 1st in line when a new vehicle comes out (the ones who pay insane amounts over sticker) get milked for all they're worth. This works for new cars like the Mustang, Thunderbird, Corvette, or Camaro when they 1st hit the streets, but for minivans or sedans which tend to attract budget-minded shoppers, it's not a very good move.

Unfortunately, it seems the same person who did the Pacifica marketing (put out the expensive version 1st then a cheaper one later) has struck again.

That person should be moved someplace else besides marketing IMHO.
