What hi-tech features will be on the 3900?
Looks a bit more advanced then the 3500 V6.
My ex's 3400 GAGT can* run a 15.5 in the 1/4 and thats only with 175hp!
So the 3900 version should be pretty quick.

Actaully,I'm a little curious as to why it's designed like that...anyone have any idea??

if its done right, the engine feels "linear" instead of "coming alive" at some RPM. its good for all around performance, drivability and all out acceleration. but it still feels better when your engins kicks into its sweet spot and you KNOW its on.
i have a different intake question. it looks like its on "backwards". this is fine for FWD setups, since the engine is sideways anyway, but it looks like it will need some work done to it to adapt for a RWD longitudinal setup.
is this a hint that this engine isn't destined for a RWD application? because, for all intents and purpouses its a "new" design, if they new it would be going into RWD cars at some point, why would they put the intake on backwards?

I can't imagine it having only 245 horses. The current S/C 3800 is making 260 in the GTP's, I doubt a brand new engine would make less than that.

the 3900 might actually be closer to 235.
This 3900; it's a 60 degree V-6, right?
If it is, is it just a bored & stroked 3100 or 3400?
The heads & valve covers look like the current narrow angle GM V-6.
I just wonder if this engine is new enough. It looks like a rehashed design. Not to say that's bad. It just seems like GM is hyping these engines as something wonderful and new, when in reality, they aren't.
