Intrepid nameplate to fade away

Sad, because the 1993 Dodge Intrepid was clearly the car that turned Chrysler Corp. around...

The 1993 Intrepid was a very signifcant car in that company's history.

All I can say is that they most certainly won't use the Charger name on the sedan. It's being held for a coupe (should it come).

Too bad, indeed - I don't think there's enough people that understand the significance of the LH platform in saving Chrysler. My gut feeling is that the LX platform will do more of the same, and it's too bad that the Intrepid name is being left behind. guionM is correct in his statement

It was also a rolling piece of crap. My parents had a 93'. Hopefully, with the help of their German friends, Chrysler can start producing cars that perform and last as well as they look.

Ya, while Intrepid brought Chrysler Corp out of the dark ages of styling, it didn't do quite as much as far as helping the companies quality reputation...

The weird thing was, up here it was badged as a Chrysler. So from the LH platform we had a Chrysler Concorde and a Chrysler Intrepid, both in the same dealerships at the same time. Never did make any sense to me
