Interesting truck at Chevy's display in Chicago.

It was a red, short box, regular cab, RWD Silverado. It had a base 4.3 V6, 5 speed manual, GM accessories 20" wheels. It was listed for around $15,700. Strange, because the Chevy website lists this truck for $1,000 more without the wheels.

Anyway, I thought it was pretty cool. And with a 4.8 or 5.3, would be a pretty neat budget hot rod.

BTW, the 2wd Trailblazer SS on display there, was listed at quite abit less than what Chevy.com has it listed for as well. It had some options, (don't remember which ones), including leather and was listed at $30K and some change. Chevy.com lists the TB SS at a base price of $31,180.

Have the GM websites been updated with the new pricing? I've noticed that a lot of the dealerships in my area have a seperate sticker on the window listing the corrected price.

According to what I have available in front of me, it would start at $31,180 under the new pricing.

Was this price on the sticker? Otherwise, I'd say they included the North Central Region's incentive of $1,000.00 somehow in their display.

4.8L is only like a $1000 option. That would be a cool budget hot rod.

I thought about getting a ZQ8 regular cab Colorado and keeping the SS before I got the Z71. It would have been like $17K after my GM card, rebates, etc.. I could justify having 2 sport 2WD vehicles in the North East though, so I went with the Z71 Crew
