Interesting article on media bias !!!!

This is a very interesting article, as it demonstrates how the media decides to pick and choose what they deem to be important............. because, as we all know, only the stuff the media deems important, actually is.

While this is an article based on a Ford product, it could just as easily be one based on a GM product. The two companies are equally hated by the media. Chrysler, like Honda and Toyota, seems to be loved.......... but then, that could just be because they are owned by Mercedes. In other words, they are no longer one of the Big 2/3.............. in other words, they are no longer domestic.

Im amazed at Mustang's percentage of the total car market... Thats ridiculous growth. However, I dont really see how this relates to media bias.

Perhaps its just me, but I have yet to see a negative article written about the 2005 Mustang.

Re: Interesting article on media bias !!!!

The only bias I see there is that the author seems to think it's reasonable to compare Mustang sales gains against all of Toyota instead of a select Toyota model, or conversely, comparing all Ford car sales vs. all Toyota car sales.

The other thing I found very interesting is that Mustang sales, as a percentage of overall car sales, didn't go up in '03 and '04, as would have been expected with the F-body hiatus.

Media bias against atleast the LX cars would be bad since I think a lot of people since it as a Chrylser body and engine sitting on a Mercedes suspension and drivetrain.

Lets be honest here, are they hated because the media has a chip on their shoulder, or are they hated bacause they have been pumping out **** for so long, and confidence is in the toilet? It now takes more than just making a automobile that is better than previous GM/Ford automobile. The cars produced now by the big three domestic brands must be as good as, or better than the foreign automakers. I am not sure any goodwill is left, and if they want the American public's money, they will have to earn it. I believe whole heartedly that the new models from Ford and GM and just as good if not better than the many of the cars in their classes, but they have to prove that to those that are out voting for their existance with their wallets.
