If they give us T/Targa tops on these new RWD chevy coupes...
good point bring up the monte carlos and other gm cars having them, forgot about them
i think they still identify with camaro justb ecause they had them longer though
just as corvette identifies with targa since it's going on it's 3rd generation with them
and i do question how they will seal it when the t-top, door window, and quarter window meet
but i suppose they could move the t-top up a little further so it only meets the door window

I personally have not owned a 4th gen. But I did have Two 3rd gen. cars. The things I remember about the T-Tops were the rattles, leaks and squeeks. And every time I went over a big bump or up a drive way I coud just watch the door gap change and the car flexed. Didnt have that problem with the hard top car that I had. Did GM stiffen up the 4th gen to eliminate these problems? If they didnt then I would be happy with just a hardtop and a convert.

However, there is always going to be more noise & rattles with T-tops than without. For awhile I had a 93 Z23 that had 140,000 miles that was a tank. It was quiet, and because nothing rattled, it felt like it was carved from a single piece of rock. My '97 on the other hand is extremely noisy inside. The T-tops don't rattle, but they do make a ton of wind noise. In normal rain, it doesn't leak, but when I take it to the car wash, I have to stratigically place rags to catch the water.
I really don't take the tops off enough to miss them, and I probally won't get them again if the choice is up to me. But with 60-75% (depending on the year) of all Camaro buyers getting them, I know I'm in the minority here, so I'd say Camaro needs them on the option list, or there's going to be alot trouble with the loyalist base.
I hope that they are a option and not a standard thing with different trim levels, for example on the last of the Trans Ams you had to get the tops. The only way to get a V8 Pontiac was to get the Firebird Formula. The Camaro was still an option even on the SS.
