If they brought Firebird back, what if they got a little funky with it?

OK, I stand corrected.

Regardless... I'll still use that as a point against calling Solstice "Firebird".

I was actually thinking more of a car like the Toyota Supra and/or the current TA than a small, dimminutive solstice type vehicle.

Maybe a line up like this:

Solstice - low cost performance, V6 and four cylinder engines. Cost tops out around 25K for a loaded soft top.

Firebird - medium to high cost performance. Base engine is a 6 with the top model getting a turbo and major HP. Maybe this car would start at 25K and end up at 35K. (Camaro could occupy the 18-30K range).

GTO - Top of the line. Traditional V8 Musclecar.

Would it work? I don't know. It seems like it would be very hard to justify a firebird with the Solstice and GTO already in place. It would have to be a very unique car and would probably have to sell in low volumes at high cost. From a business standpoint, it probably makes more sense to fill the middle range by bringing out a "super solstice" and a "Le-Mans" or "Tempest" as a low end GTO and not have any kind of "firebird".
