Yummie! Looks damn good, without looking at the grill, I would say *** import for sure, lexus/toyota like.

Does everything have to look like an import to "look good" or be appealing? Nothing says true to the bone American sedan more than the Chrysler 300. Big Room, big power, American like.
Instead of the domestics continually chasing the imports in style and quality, they just stop, throw old ways of trying to save 3 cents, regroup, and produce a product that people will come in droves to own, why???? Cause a solid, good quality, loaded with style, and last but not least is a good VALUE car is a winner.
I could care less if it cost $400 more to make the car right inside and out. Just do something right. I don't need gadgets this and that. Concentrate on the core of what the car does. Powertrain, drivetrain, and style. Done.

I've been pretty impressed with Fusion and Five Hundred. They look nice without being too loud for the boring middle market segment their in. Just enough to stand out and get attention but not scare off the target market. I predict they'll do well, and they're a hell of a lot better than the poor excuse for styling that's sitting on Malibu, Impala and Monte Carlo. There's a few "Yucks" for ya.
Re: If only GM had something like this... 2006 Ford Fusion
The Five-Hundred is about as bland as you can get (but is still a decent looking car with lots of room). I am personally not nuts about the Monte Carlo (mainly because the sides/rear look almost entirely unchanged), but the new Impala is very pretty (though not extremely exciting) to me. It also doesn't have the Five-Hundred's problem of being underpowered (at least as it currently sits with the 3.0L Duratec). The Fusion isn't too bad, based on the few pics I've seen, except for the front end and grille treatment.
But I still say it is eclipsed by the Aura.

The Aura is pretty dang close to what we'll be able to buy, I'd wager.

I'm not a big fan of the way the new Ford vehicles look. The Five Hundred and Mercury Montego are all bland but non-offensive. I think the Fusion is not only bland but a little on the ugly side. The Lincoln Zephyr is the nicest of the bunch, though I'm not a big fan of the style of the instrument panel.
I've driven a Five Hundred and I have to say it is a nice car inside and it drives/rides nice. It's definitely no race car. It should be better when they dump the bigger engine in it (3.5L?).

Considering that the Fusion is the car most directly replacing the Taurus, I'm very impressed. The car has visual impact, isn't afraid of chrome, and probally is going to have the ***** the FiveHundred is lacking.
I'd give it 3 2/3 stars out of 5.
