If no Nomad, how about this?...
If no Nomad, how about this?...
Last I heard the Nomad was an iffy prospect for product. I like the idea of a two door wagon (although being single puts me admittedly in a huge minority) for the 1/3 of my lifestyle mountain biking takes up.
So that got me thinking and eventually behind photoshop. I've always liked the Vibe's styling, but wasn't crazy about 4 doors. What do you think of this? It sorta makes me think of it as a 'Pontiac Golf'.

IMO there's no shortage of FWD 3 doors on the market.
To me the main appeal of the Nomad is that it would be a cool RWD option in what is now an AFAIK exclusively FWD market segment.
If GM confirmed production by next April, I would buy our Envoy at the end of the lease and wait for the Nomad.

Nomad is actually a vehicle I could see myself buying, while a 2 door Vibe I can't.
The Nomad's based on a sports car chassis that resembles a Corvette, small in size & low to the ground, and is RWD.
Ironically, it's the public, not GM management that's making this car iffy. While the media and us enthusiasts love it, it seems the styling clinics and the general public at the auto shows gave it a luke warm reception.
If it was up to GM management, Nomad would be out right behind Solstice.

I dont think that they have to get a 100% positive turn out with the Kappa cars. The Kappa cars are designed to be aimed at entusiasts. If anyone reads the British car rags, they LOVED the Nomad!
I think that the Nomad might have more appeal as a hyrbid car. Something like a city car. 4 seats and 3 of them can fold flat for storage. And getting upwards of 40mpg will be great. And it doesnt look like an Alien space ship Prius.
