Question If Camaro is brought back, is it suppost to be FWD or RWD ?

I work in sales for a Ford dealership and I was sitting around talking to some co-workers and we started to aruge about F-body's and Mustangs. My question is this, IF the Camaro is brought back has anyone heard if it would be a FWD or RWD car ?

Tell your co-workers that it will be built in Korea on the FWD Aveo platform.

Yeah. Also heard that the Cobalt SS's supercharged ecotec 4 would be the top engine on the z28's and SS's, with the base camaro's getting the standard N/A ecotec .

You have got be kidding me!! why would the new GTO be RWD and if/when they bring the Camaro back why a FWD. That does not sound to appealing at all IMO.

FWD How dare you use that word around here

Tell them to read CamaroZ28.com and start saving thier money for the RWD Camaro that IS coming back in 2007. (based on the Zeta RWD platform)

HOLY CRAP man you shocked the hell out of me. See they were telling me it was going to BE a FWD car. They said they read that in some magizine or something. Since I don't know much about what will really be happening, I just took that as the truth. Glad to hear it's really not so.

Actually, early reports suggest that it will be 2wd with only the right two wheels being powered. It is believed that this will help it go in circles better when chevy introduces it in NASCAR to compete with the new charger. On a side note, a cool byproduct of this is the ability to do mad dounuts.

No it will not be RWD now that consumers are "more sophisticated to front wheel drive."

And we all know that the only right wheels to power the car are the rear wheels
