I need proof that the Cobalt SS is an awesome car
Sorry if this is in the wrong forum.. I wasn't sure where this fit in. But I figured the Cobalt SS is a very new car.
I need help! My girlfriend is getting a new car for when she goes to university next year (she's looking at them now though)
The problem is.. her dad needs convincing.
For some reason he got the idea that the Cobalt has something to do with GMs recent purchase of Daewoo(sp?) and that the Cobalt is nothing more than a tin can on wheels! I couldn't belive it! I think the Cobalt is an absolutely phenomenal car.
The first reason he didn't like it was because it's small (meaning he thinks it will be terrible if she ever got into an accident) But I explained how it got an amazing (I think near perfect) crash test rating. MUCH better than other vehicles such as the Lancer etc...
So I think he is just looking for any excuse he can get, just because the Cobalt is a small car.
To tell you the truth, I think he wants a car for himself (even though my GF parents are getting a new car anyway for themselves, and he already has a big truck for himself)
Can you guys provides some links to some actualy proof of how amazing the Cobalt really is? And what is this Daewoo garbage he's talking about?

I think they've hit showrooms now.
Go to your local chevy dealership, talk with the manager/sales-person, and have him see the car in person. If he's still not convinced, then it's a lost cause and there's no persuading him.

for instance, my local one (which has a little bit of room on the lots anyways) hasn't gotten any
maybe they didn't want any, but i couldn't see any logic behind that
and heck, i'm not even that far from lordstown for this dealership to get them quick
they just got a few coupes and a BUNCH of sedans

Well i certainly won't say it's an awesome car, but it's probably the best chick car around. Tell him it's a civic but better (even i don't believe that)

also, sure you're girlfriend can handle a pretty quick (lt1 quick almost) car with a 5 speed? (i think theyre all 5spds right?)
i know none of my past girlfriends could do that
but that is cool she's going american atleast

redzed hosts a fansite called www.THE-COBALT-IS-AWESOME.com where he praises the Cobalt and GM constantly and bashes Nissan relentlessly (especially the Nissan Armada).

Find any review of the car, in any magazine, and it gets a positive review. Proof enough.
