Call me cynical or whatever you want, but a story about producing only 52 G8s and a mere 6 G6 specialty cars isn't even worth a story on the internet. Just about any well known Los Angeles customizing shop produces more signature models than that.

GM handmade 60 1st batch prototype Camaros for testing, and that was even a low number. Steve Saleen made more S7s than that. There's far more Berger 4th gen Camaros than that.

Sorry, can get that excited over 6 and 52 cars with a paint treatment.... Hurst or not.

I disagree- I think it is the proper send off that GM didn't give Pontiac considering Hurst's history with GTO's and Grand Prix's.

I don't think this is earth shattering- but notable. When was the lst time there was a Hurst edition car? the black and gold LS-1 T/A? not even sure that made it into production.

from the article...
Only 52 Hurst H.O. Pontiacs will be built along with ten G6 convertibles used as parade and special event vehicles.

Why even include the G6 at all? They should be using GXP G8's too.

I do like the look of black/gold and white/gold G8's.

It seems odd to me to see a white/gold Hurst Pontiac instead of an Olds. Think it would have been more appropriate for Hurst to do special edition Oldsmobile 500s (when it was cancelled) instead of Ponchos.

Just a thought.
