Sedans can have two doors. There used to be a difference, not really that way now.

As stated previously, the number of doors has nothing to do with "sedan" and "coupe".
The first generation Aurora was technically a 4-door coupe.
Moronic automotive writers are to blame for the current confusion by which most folks think a 2-door is always a coupe and a 4-door is always a sedan.
Re: How stupid is TCC for buying this spy pic?
I would like to point out that a 2 door sedan can look very nice, the last gen 3 series coupe is a perfect example.
Would the Mustang be considered a coupe or sedan? It does have some dew parts and that was a sedan platform. I am not arguing either way but would like to understand the definition of the terms better.
I heard that 2 door sedans had enclosed rear windows, last few gen mustangs and 1st gen fbods. But coupes had no rear window, 2-4 fbods.

Au contraire!
While there are any number of examples of 2-door sedans, including the BMW 3 series two door models, there is no such thing as a 4-door coupe, except in the mind of some jerkoff MB product planner. You can have sleek rooflines on 4 door sedans, but the term coupe, in reality, refers to a 2 or 3 passenger vehicle with no rear seat and close-coupled rear-axle. The examples shown actually illustrated the difference between a 2-dr sedan and a 2-dr hardtop. This coupe definition is stretched to include 2+2 configurations, and I can buy that, but this nonsense that MB is foisting on the gullible public is too much. This is actually why a BMW 6 series is a coupe (and labeled an even number series), but the two door 3 series is still a 3 (I know, someone will point out that they were going to start calling them 4 series, but at last count, I believe that plan was scrapped). At least that is why they've been that way until now.
IMO, and that is all it is, but I'm usually pretty right about this sort of thing, coupes (real coupes, not 4-door sedans with chopped roofs) will be the next big thing. As gas prices climb and the baby boomers kids move away, they are starting to make a lot of sense. They always were the best looking body styles, but were somewhat impractical for a family. Just wait!

I'd like to see an auto maker try to do this body style, the four door hardtop/sport sedan.

Yes...
You can have a 4 door coupe...
Re: How stupid is TCC for buying this spy pic?
I really dont know much about the subject, but here's what Merriam-Webster and Oxford English Dictionary say:
coupé
/koopay/ (also coupe /koop/)
• noun a car with a fixed roof, two doors, and a sloping rear.
— ORIGIN originally denoting an enclosed carriage for two passengers and a driver: from French carrosse coupé ‘cut carriage’.
_____________________________________
2 usually coupe : a 2-door automobile often seating only two persons; also : one with a tight-spaced rear seat -- compare SEDAN

This came up before the Charger entered production, and I think I posted the definition of coupe for everybody. As stated, a coupe must have 2 doors but a sedan may have 2 or 4. The end.
